London-born Rue Kothari has built considerable influence in the design industry over 17 years living between the UAE and the UK. Her network and reach extends globally from the East to the US and European hubs including Paris, Milan and London.

As a founding adviser for Dubai Design Week, Rue helmed furniture fair Downtown Design, establishing it as the leading trade platform in the Middle East, and going on to launch Editions, a showcase for craft, handmade and collectible design. As an active mentor of emerging talent, she has helped fledgling brands curate their collections and build their commercial strategy. As a creative consultant for design businesses, she has helped build brands in India, London, Hong Kong and Dubai, developing their profile and connecting them to opportunities with new communities and in new markets.
